KTM 2026 Opens with Record Participation in Kochi

Kochi, September 2026: The 13th edition of the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) 2026 has opened in Kochi with its biggest-ever participation, bringing together more than 3,000 delegates from India and overseas. The three-day tourism trade event is positioning Kerala before a large network of international and domestic travel buyers, tourism enterprises and industry stakeholders.

The event includes 800 International Buyers and 2250 Domestic Buyers participating.  A total of 383 seller stalls representing tourism enterprises have been set up, along with 25 stalls representing government institutions. More than 45,000 business-to-business (B2B) meetings have been scheduled, creating opportunities for Kerala's tourism businesses to develop new partnerships and markets.

The record participation makes KTM 2026 one of the largest editions in the event's 25-year history. The mart provides a platform for hotels, resorts, tour operators, houseboats, homestays, destination management companies and other tourism service providers to meet buyers and promote Kerala's diverse tourism products.

The main exhibition and B2B meetings are being held at the Sagara and Samudrika Convention Centres on Willingdon Island, following the inauguration in Kochi on September 24. The event has also attracted significant media participation, with 138 national and international media representatives covering KTM 2026.

A notable feature of this year's mart is its increased focus on digital operations. We're using a new software system and mobile app to manage registration, meeting schedules, seminars, and other event procedures, making the tourism trade event more technology-driven.

The event is also expected to strengthen Kerala's presence in international tourism markets and generate new business opportunities for tourism stakeholders across the state. Selected participants will additionally take part in post-mart familiarisation tours to 12 destinations across Kerala from September 28 to October 3, giving buyers an opportunity to experience destinations and tourism products beyond the main event venue.

With thousands of buyers and sellers engaged in scheduled business meetings, KTM 2026 is providing a major platform for Kerala's tourism industry to expand its market reach, promote new destinations and build international trade partnerships.
