Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy (2026)

Welcome to Munnar.com. These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Kerala.com Travel Division (a unit of Worldviewer Dot Com India Pvt Ltd), hereinafter referred to as "The Company," and the traveller, hereinafter referred to as "The Guest."
By booking a service through our portal, you agree to the following terms.

Booking and Payment Terms

  • Accreditation: As an accredited tour operator by the Department of Tourism, Kerala, we adhere to fair pricing and ethical booking practices.
  • Payment Milestone: To confirm a booking, a minimum of 50% of the total package cost must be paid as an advance. The remaining balance must be cleared 15 days prior to the date of arrival.
  • Last-Minute Bookings: For bookings made within 15 days of the travel date, 100% payment is required at the time of confirmation.
  • Transaction Fees: Any bank charges, credit card surcharges, or international wire transfer fees are the responsibility of the Guest.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. However, as we make advance non-refundable payments to hotels and transporters in Munnar, the following cancellation schedule applies:

  • 30 Days or more before arrival  :  90% of the total package cost
  • 15 to 29 Days before arrival  :  50% of the total package cost
  • 07 to 14 Days before arrival  :  25% of the total package cost
  • Less than 07 Days before arrival  :  No Refund (100% Cancellation Charge)

Note :

  • Peak Season (Dec 15 – Jan 15): During peak season and festivals (like Onam or the Neelakurinji bloom), many hotels follow a Non-Refundable policy. These specific terms will be mentioned in your booking voucher.
  • Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days through the original payment method.

Responsible Tourism & Plastic Ban Compliance

Munnar is a Zero-Plastic Zone.

  • Guest Obligation: Guests are prohibited from carrying single-use plastic bottles, bags, or straws into protected areas like Eravikulam National Park.
  • Liability: Any fines imposed by the Forest Department or local authorities due to the Guest’s violation of environmental laws are the sole responsibility of the Guest.

Alterations and Force Majeure

  • Natural Events: Munnar is prone to heavy mist and monsoon rain. The Company is not liable for the closure of attractions (e.g., Eravikulam calving season) or road delays due to landslides or weather conditions.
  • Itinerary Changes: The Company reserves the right to alter the itinerary in the interest of safety or due to unforeseen circumstances without prior notice.

Liability and Insurance

  • Activity Risk: Adventure activities such as boating at Mattupetty, river crossing at Ripple Waterfalls, or trekking at Anamudi carry inherent risks. The Company acts only as a facilitator and is not liable for accidents or injuries.
  • Insurance: We strongly recommend that all Guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering health, accidents, and trip cancellations.

Jurisdiction

In the event of a dispute, the matter shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts in Cochin, Kerala, where the registered office of Worldviewer Dot Com India Pvt Ltd is located.
