Day 1

Cochin - Munnar

  • The drive to Munnar (approximately 4 hours) is an attraction in itself.
  • You will stop at the magnificent Cheeyappara Waterfalls, which cascades down in seven steps, offering a spectacular photo opportunity.

Day 2

Munnar
  • The Emerald Valleys of Munnar  - Munnar is not just a destination; it is a feeling.
  • After a hearty breakfast, your full-day sightseeing tour begins with a visit to Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai).
  • This sanctuary is the natural habitat of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr.
  • Walking along the misty trails here offers a panoramic view of the Anamudi peak.
  • Next, we visit the Mattupetty Dam, where the still waters reflect the surrounding hills.

Day 3

Thekkady

  • After breakfast, we head south toward Thekkady, the spice hub of Kerala.
  • The 3-hour drive takes you through spice plantations of cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon.
  • Upon arrival and check-in, the highlight of the day awaits: a boat cruise on Periyar Lake.
  • As you sail through the heart of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, keep your binoculars ready.
  • It is common to see herds of wild elephants, sambar deer, and various species of migratory birds gathering at the water’s edge.
  • In the evening, you can opt for a traditional Kathakali performance or an Kalaripayattu (martial arts) show to witness Kerala's rich heritage firsthand.

Day 4

Thekkady
  • The Houseboat Experience (Thekkady to Alleppey)
  • Today, we transition from the mountains to the plains of Alleppey, famously known as the "Venice of the East."
  • By noon, you will board a traditional Kettuvallam (Houseboat). - This is the quintessential Kerala experience.
  • Your floating home will navigate the narrow canals and vast expanses of the Vembanad Lake.
  • From the deck, you can observe the unique "Backwater Life"—villagers fishing, children walking to school along the banks, and endless stretches of paddy fields.
  • Enjoy authentic Kerala cuisine, including "Karimeen Pollichathu" (Pearl Spot fish), cooked by your private on-board chef.
  • Overnight: Houseboat (A/C Cabin)

Day 5

Kumarakom
  • The Serenity of Kumarakom
  • After a relaxing breakfast on the houseboat, we disembark at Alleppey and proceed to Kumarakom.
  • This cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake is a sanctuary for those seeking peace.
  • Visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, a favourite haunt of migratory birds like the Siberian Stork and Egrets.
  • The rest of the day is yours to explore the local village life.
  • You can try your hand at fishing, take a sunset cruise, or simply indulge in a rejuvenating Ayurveda massage at the resort.
  • Kumarakom offers a slower pace of life that perfectly caps off your adventurous week.
  • Overnight: Kumarakom

Day 6

Cochin Departure
  • Farewell to God’s Own Country
  • On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the lake.
  • Depending on your flight or train schedule, we will transfer you back to Cochin.
  • If time permits, you can explore the Jew Town in Fort Kochi or do some last-minute shopping for spices and handicrafts at the local markets.
  • Your driver will ensure you reach the airport or station with ample time for your departure, carrying home a heart full of memories.
