Munnar has added another distinctive luxury retreat to its growing tourism landscape with the inauguration of Soma Seven Springs Plantation Resort, a new nature-focused property from the Somatheeram Ayurveda Group at Letchmi Estate.

Spread across 100 acres of tea, coffee and cardamom plantations, the resort is located along the elevated route towards Mankulam and introduces visitors to a quieter and less-explored side of the Munnar region. Speaking at the inauguration, Baby Mathew, Chairman and Managing Director of Somatheeram Ayurveda Group, said the new resort reflects the group's approach of combining modern luxury with the natural environment of Munnar.

According to Mathew, Soma Seven Springs also provides an opportunity for travellers to experience a less-visited part of Munnar, away from some of the destination's more familiar tourist centres.

The Somatheeram group was founded by Baby Mathew in 1995 and has played a role in promoting Kerala's Ayurveda and wellness tourism internationally. The group is now bringing that hospitality experience into plantation and nature-oriented luxury tourism with its new Munnar property.
