Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Cochin
  • Colonial Grandeur at the Gateway to Kerala
  • Your journey commences at the Cochin International Airport, where our team welcomes you to the historic spice hub of India.
  • You will be whisked away to Willingdon Island or the heart of Fort Kochi.
  • Cochin is a living museum, and your first day is dedicated to its layers of history.
  • Stroll through the old spice markets of Mattancherry, where the aroma of ginger and cardamom still lingers.
  • Visit the Paradesi Synagogue, the Dutch Palace with its mythological murals, and the iconic St. Francis Church. As evening approaches, board a private Harbour Cruise.
  • Watching the sunset through the silhouettes of the Chinese Fishing Nets provides a quintessential Kerala memory.
  • Overnight stay at a CGH Heritage property in Cochin Brunton Boatyard at Fort Kochi

Day 2

Munnar
  • The Time-Traveller’s Ascent to Munnar
  • Leaving the coastal humidity behind, you begin a scenic ascent into the Western Ghats.
  • The road winds through rubber and pineapple plantations before the air cools and the vast tea estates of Munnar appear.
  • Today, you check into the Lockhart Bungalows, Munnar.
  • These are not mere hotels; they are century-old colonial tea estate bungalows restored to their former glory.
  • Located far from the congested tourist centre, these bungalows offer a "200-year-old" experience.
  • Surrounded by mist-covered peaks and untouched forests, it is a retreat into a world of crackling fireplaces and morning birdsong.
  • Overnight stay at Lockhart Bungalows, Munnar.

Day 3

Munnar Sightseeing
  • Trails and Traditions in the Tea Hills
  • Awaken to the sound of the tea-picker’s whistle.
  • After a colonial-style breakfast, the day is yours for immersion.
  • Join a Guided Trek through the high-altitude shola forests and tea gardens, led by naturalists who explain the local flora and fauna.
  • In the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum to understand how a simple leaf transformed the economy of these hills.
  • The rest of the evening is for quiet reflection on your bungalow's veranda.
  • Overnight stay at Lokhart Bungalows, Munnar.

Day 4

Thekkady
  • Spice Village – Living in a Tribal Hamlet
  • After breakfast, we drive toward Thekkady, the spice heartland of Kerala.
  • You will check into Spice Village Thekkady, a resort modelled on the dwellings of the local Manan tribe.
  • Here, luxury is redefined through sustainability—there is no air conditioning, yet the elephant-grass thatched roofs keep the interiors perfectly cool.
  • Enjoy a traditional lunch, followed by an afternoon exploring the resort's private spice garden.
  • In the evening, witness a Keralan Cooking Demonstration where chefs reveal the secrets of spice-blending, followed by a cultural performance of Kathakali or Mohiniyattam.
  • Overnight stay at Spice Village, Thekkady.

Day 5

Kumarakom
  • Coconut Lagoon – The Soul of the Backwaters
  • Descending back toward the coast, you reach the melodically named Kumarakom.
  • Access to Coconut Lagoon is exclusively by boat, crossing the vast Vembanad Lake.
  • This resort is a sanctuary of restored "Tharavadu" (heritage) homes, some over 150 years old.
  • In the late afternoon, enjoy a Sunset Cruise on a converted rice boat (Kettuvallam) accompanied by the haunting melodies of a live flute.
  • Later, participate in a culinary class focusing on backwater delicacies before enjoying a traditional dinner by the canal.
  • Overnight stay at Coconut Lagoon.

Day 6

Alleppey
  • Floating Through the Emerald Veins
  • Today, you transition from land to water.
  • Board your Private Luxury Houseboat for a slow-motion odyssey through the backwaters.
  • This "floating villa" allows you to witness the intimate rhythms of Kerala village life—fishermen in dugout canoes, women washing clothes on the banks, and children walking to school along narrow strips of land.
  • As night falls, the boat anchors in the middle of the lake, offering a silence interrupted only by the lapping of water.
  • Overnight on the Houseboat.

Day 7

Marari Beach
  • Marari Beach – The Art of Doing Nothing
  • Begin your morning with a rejuvenating Yoga session on deck, followed by breakfast as the boat returns to land.
  • A short drive brings you to Marari Beach.
  • This is not a typical raucous beach destination; it is a space for "unwinding."
  • Check into your independent villa, nestled within a vast coconut grove.
  • There are no motorized water sports or loud parties here—only the sound of the waves and the wind in the palms.
  • Spend your afternoon in a hammock, visit the local fishing village, or attend a final cooking class to master coastal sea-food recipes.
  • Overnight at Marari Beach.
